Trouper backflip on trampoline

As the trampoline was only invented in the late 1930s, it was one of the newest pieces of equipment featured in the 1947 Home Show. In Gymkana, trampoline is typically performed one solo routine after another, but troupers have also presented comedy routines with two or more people included. Since its beginning, Gymkana has produced entertaining trampoline performances for halftime shows as well as road shows and Home Shows. Although the trampoline is not known as a particularly portable piece of equipment, it’s not uncommon to see a folded trampoline on wheels being rolled across the campus in the early days of the fall semester. Many troupers’ first impressions of the team come from the full-size trampoline on McKeldin Mall each year for the First Look Fair. What better way to market Gymkana than flipping 20 feet above the mall?
